You will be greeted by our guide from your harbor according to the agreed time, and then you will be transferred to the historical Kadriorg Palace, which nowadays accommodates the Kadriorg Art Museum, a branch of the Art Museum of Estonia.
The halls of the palace host older Western European and Russian art – paintings, sculptures and applied art – which lend greatness and glory to a building that has lost much of its former furnishings. In addition to the nation’s art collection, the palace itself is the most important exhibit of the museums, as it is a dignified building with a long history.
You will walk around the Kadriorg Park for other sights such as the Apollo Belvedere, the oldest sculpture in Kadriorg Park; the memorial Russalka, the first work by a trained Estonian sculptor to have been exhibited in Estonian public space; Catherine’s Staircase, which connects Kadriorg Park with the top of the Lasnamäe klint.
Then you will go to the popular Old Town of Tallinn. A guided walking tour will bring you to the main city square and the Tallinn Town Hall, Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle, and much more. Tallinn, Estonia’s capital on the Baltic Sea, retains its walled, cobble-stoned Old Town, home to cafes and shops, as well as Kiek in de Kök, a 15th-century defensive tower. The Old Town, dating from around the 15th century, is Estonia’s only UNESCO World Heritage site.
The tour duration is approximately 5 hours. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back to your port.
